This is a tailored massage for a client having pain, tightness or other afflictions. The therapist works with the client, using a range of techniques to release and reset the body and mind. Each massage may very in pressure from light to deep, guided by the release of the body. Client and therapist begin with an intake as to goals or outcomes for the session and then a tailored plan is discussed and is adjusted throughout the session depending on the clients needs.

Deep Tissue massage releases the chronic patterns of tension in the body through slow strokes and deep finger pressure on the contracted areas, either following or going across the grain of muscles, tendons and fascia. It focuses on the deeper layers of muscle tissue. This technique is used on specific muscles to reduce pain in that area. Deep Tissue is not applied throughout the entire massage. Massage therapists who give deep tissue massage often have a heavier touch.
